Elon Musk has initiated legal action against OpenAI, its co-founders Sam Altman and Greg Brockman, and other associated parties, claiming a breach of the original mission to develop AI for the benefit of humanity. Musk, a co-founder of OpenAI, has alleged that the company, which is renowned for ChatGPT, has shifted towards a commercial, profit-driven model.
OpenAI\'s partnership with Microsoft and transition into profit-seeking operations has prompted Musk to seek legal redress. He asserts that OpenAI is not adhering to its foundational agreement and has become closely tied to Microsoft\'s commercial interests. Musk has declined a stake in the for-profit arm and is challenging the handling of GPT-4, OpenAI\'s advanced AI model which he claims constitutes artificial general intelligence.
